A Compassionate Approach

We understand that later-stage dementia can bring physical changes, heightened behaviours and moments of distress. Our nurses respond with steadiness and sensitivity, creating an atmosphere that feels peaceful, reassuring and safe.

Personalised Care for Dementia Journeys

As the complexities of later-stage dementia progress, our care is guided by a deep understanding of each resident and the things that bring a sense of calm. Our support is attentive and unhurried, within a space that feels familiar and consistently reassuring.

Clinical excellence sits alongside deeply personal care. We work closely with GPs and healthcare professionals to ensure every aspect of health is carefully managed, but always in a way that protects dignity, comfort and individuality. Digital care planning and advanced nurse call systems sit quietly in the background, supporting immediate care while preserving the calm and comfort of the home.

And as needs increase, our care will always remain gentle.

One-to-One Support

As physical needs change, loved ones may require more dedicated one-to-one support. During this time, the presence of our loyal and long-serving team becomes even more meaningful. Familiar faces, reassuring voices and a sense of safety are deeply comforting.

We devote unhurried, attentive time to each resident, engaging gently through the senses. Sitting quietly together. Offering a soothing hand massage. Playing a favourite piece of music at just the right moment. Sometimes, it is simply about being present.

In these quieter stages, care becomes less about activity and more about closeness, comfort and feeling safe. Your loved one will always be seen, respected and held with kindness in every moment.

Wellbeing & Everyday Life

No matter how needs evolve, our residents and their families remain an important and valued part of life at Wentworth Court.

Our Wellbeing Team gently adapts experiences so that everyone can continue to take part in ways that feel right for them. Whether supported one-to-one in the Atrium during live music, enjoying time with visiting children, or being read to in a peaceful corner, meaningful moments continue.

As dementia changes behaviours and abilities, we quietly adapt around each person. Kindness, patience and respect remain constant.

Comfort in the Familiar

Throughout our home, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create surroundings that feel intuitive, familiar and reassuring.

Shared spaces are filled with natural light and a carefully balanced palette of warm oranges, rich blues and soft neutral tones, bringing gentle energy alongside comfort and calm.

Bedrooms are always encouraged to be personalised with treasured belongings from home, providing comfort, familiarity and a strong sense of identity. Personalised memory frames beside each resident’s door support recognition and confidence, helping each space feel unmistakably their own.

Our secure gardens offer raised beds and sensory planting, encouraging residents to enjoy fresh air and meaningful time outdoors.

A place where care is supported by surroundings that feel unmistakably like home.

Support as Needs Evolve

As care needs become more complex, knowing where to turn can feel overwhelming. Our experienced clinical team is here to provide support, clear guidance and reassurance when you need it most.
