Building Community Through Partnerships

At Wentworth Court, community is at the heart of everything we do. Our meaningful partnerships and cherished friendships create warmth and connection, enriching the lives of our residents through creativity, shared experiences, and uplifting interactions that celebrate intergenerational connections.

Celebrating Collaboration in Care

Our collaboration with the Everyman Theatre gave life to the art installation that now fills our Atrium. Created alongside our residents and children from Hester’s Primary School, it stands as a lasting reminder of what can happen when creativity and care come together.

Our partnership with the Gloucester Rugby Charitable Foundation brings residents together through their reminiscence club, reliving the pride and camaraderie of the game in ways that feel familiar and uplifting.

These partnerships remind our residents that they remain a valued and connected part of the world around them.

Worthy Friends

Alongside our formal partnerships, Wentworth Court is fortunate to have a wonderful circle of Worthy Friends, the people and groups who bring colour, laughter and warmth to life in our home.

Hester’s Primary School and All Saints Academy are among our most treasured connections. Their visits create the kind of intergenerational warmth that fills every corner of the room. A school choir at Christmas. The excitement of World Book Day. The simple, joyful act of reading together. Young voices and older hands, coming together in a way that feels quietly moving.

Our entertainers, the singers, musicians and performers who visit regularly, are always warmly welcomed. Music has a powerful way of unlocking memory and lifting the spirit, and when a familiar song fills the room, residents and families gather together in a way that feels entirely natural and deeply special. Every Worthy Friend gives something of themselves, and we are grateful for each and every one.

A Community That’s Truly Lived

From intergenerational moments to local partnerships, community here is something residents truly experience every day. We’d love to show you around.

    Why Community
    Is So Worthwhile

Dementia for families and their loved ones can often bring a sense of disconnection from familiar routines, long-held relationships and the communities that once shaped everyday life. At Wentworth Court, we believe that holding onto those connections is one of the most important things we can do.

Our partnerships and friendships create opportunities for genuine social interaction, new faces, shared interests and moments that gently awaken treasured memories. A volunteer sitting quietly beside a resident, connected through nothing more than a held hand and a cup of tea, can bring a comfort that no care plan alone can provide.

Community reminds our residents that they are seen, valued and still very much a part of the world they have always known.
